The UK Solar Alliance (of which the Claydons Solar Action Group are a part) felt the time was right to nationally come together to put pressure on the Government to review and address many unanswered questions about planning and solar farms. Other action groups from all over the UK came together and rallied outside the Houses of Parliament and met up with supportive MP’s from constituencies which have been affected by the huge solar farms being proposed on thousand’s of acres of our agricultural land.
There was an excellent turnout, great weather, lots of media interest….various newspapers, with the BBC and ITV in attendance. A huge thanks to James Gray and Greg Smith MP for coming out and showing their support and to Minister Andrew Bowie for meeting the group and hearing some of our concerns.
