We need YOUR help!

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we successfully reached our initial target of £60,000 in late 2025. However, as the hearings have now progressed, unforeseen additional work is required from our professional team and we now need a further £10,000 in donations to help cover these costs.

We are raising vital funds to secure expert support and legal representation to challenge the Rosefield Solar Farm and Statkraft BESS proposals. These funds allow us to engage the professional expertise needed to ensure our community is effectively represented throughout the planning process.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we successfully reached our initial fundraising target of £60,000 in late 2025, enabling us to appoint planning, landscape and other specialist advisors.

This past week was a crucial stage in the examination process, with CSAG members and advisors attending the issue-specific hearings in Milton Keynes. These highly technical discussions highlighted the value of the professional team representing our community.

In particular, issues surrounding Bechstein’s bats, Natural England’s withdrawal of the SSSI designation around Sheephouse Wood, and the preliminary drainage works at Claydon Lawn required far more detailed examination than originally anticipated. This was further compounded by responses from the applicant which required additional review and challenge from our advisors.

As a result, unforeseen additional work has been required from our professional team, leading to significant extra costs. We therefore need to raise a further £10,000 to ensure we remain fully equipped to represent our community effectively throughout the next stages of the hearings.

Every contribution, large or small, helps strengthen our case and ensures our community’s voice continues to be heard. We have come a long way in this fight - and we cannot stop now.

Thank you for standing with us. Together, we can protect our cherished countryside — from Winslow to Granborough, East and Botolph Claydon, Middle Claydon, and all the way to Calvert — from inappropriate, large-scale industrialisation of our valuable agricultural land.
