At the Statera BESS Planning hearing at Buckinghamshire Council on Thursday 19th December 2024, there was a turnout of approximately 80 objectors in the room, showing the feeling of unity that is much needed in these situations so a huge THANK YOU to everyone who found the time to come and support us!
The result was 7 – 2 councillors against the proposal meaning there was a clear objection to the application.
Our speakers (Including our MP, Greg Smith) were able to show the committee that the planned proposal would be in the wrong place and expressed concerns about flooding and the cumulative effect.

As we are all aware, many of these applications do go to appeal BUT this is definitely a step in the right direction and shows that public support can have a positive outcome.
