Our MP, Greg Smith, shows his opposition

I have formally responded to the public consultation on proposals for a 2,100 acre solar industrial installation in the Claydons, setting out a series of reasons why a solar installation here is totally wrong and inappropriate and calling on the companies behind the scheme, led by French energy giant EDF, to think again and withdraw.

You can read my submission here: https://www.gregsmith.co.uk/…/Rosefield%20Preliminary…

Huge thanks to Claydons Solar Action Group and so many local residents, parish councils, and Buckinghamshire Councillors for doing so much to fight this unwelcome proposal.

I will continue my campaign against solar being installed on agricultural land, making the case for roof top solar and other technologies such as Small Modular Reactors to diversify our energy mix instead.

It’s really important to get as many voices heard, so if you haven’t responded to the consultation yet, it closes tomorrow, and you can find out how to take part here: https://rosefieldsolarfarm.co.uk/public-consultation/
